How a job runs

Five steps, start to settled.

  1. Find someone nearby

    Pick a category and GetHired returns the workers actually inside your radius, sorted by rating or by wage, with their real availability.

  2. Book one, several, or a crew

    Every booking is a set of workers in a single category. Individuals get two minutes to accept; a crew gets five. Add extras to a crew and it reverts to two.

  3. Start with a QR

    You show a START QR at the door and each worker scans their own. Attendance is recorded per person, not per booking — so a crew of six is six real check-ins.

  4. Work, fully tracked

    Chat, share a location and call from inside the booking while the job runs. Phone numbers stay withheld until you pay, and are dropped again on completion.

Attendance

Two scans. Nothing to argue about.

A job opens with a START scan and closes with an END scan — and the END code stays locked for five minutes after the start, so a booking can't be opened and closed in the same breath. Both scans are per worker.

Settled automatically. The wage goes to that worker's UPI the moment the END QR is read.

The wage is refunded to you. The platform fee is retained.

A worker runs a single crew in a single category, with every member inside a 25 km radius. Book the crew as one — and each member still gets their own acceptance, their own QR, their own chat and their own payout.

Discovery is a plain distance search around wherever you are. No bidding, no boosted listings, no paid placement — the order is rating or wage, and you choose which.

Rated on what actually matters.

Ratings run both ways, across three separate axes, and sit alongside a reliability score that repairs itself as a worker completes jobs.

Reliability score

Every worker starts at 100. It follows a rolling 90-day completion rate, so it falls with no-shows and heals with finished work.

Behaviour, quality, punctuality

Three separate scores plus a written review, left by both sides after every booking — so a worker's record is specific, not a single blurry star.

ID verification

Workers submit identity documents for review and carry a verified badge once the platform approves them.

Numbers stay private

Phone numbers are withheld until a booking is paid for, and dropped again once it completes. Chat and calls live inside the booking.

The things people ask first.

What does it cost?
Nothing to join, and there is no subscription, listing fee or monthly charge. You pay the wage the worker set for the category you booked, plus a flat 10% platform fee. That is the entire bill — nothing is added at checkout or after the job.
Who can sign up?
Anyone with a 10-digit Indian mobile number. Login is a phone OTP — there are no passwords to set or forget. The same number can both hire and work: switching between the two modes keeps your bookings, ratings and history intact.
When can I book?
Bookings run between 5 AM and 8 PM. Outside those hours the app is view-only — you can browse and read everything, but nothing can be created or changed. Attendance scanning, login, crew management and notifications are never blocked, so a job that runs late can still be closed out properly.
What if the worker doesn't turn up?
The two attendance scans decide it, automatically. Neither QR scanned means a full refund including fees. Started but never ended means the wage comes back to you and the platform fee is retained. Both scanned means the booking settles and the worker is paid. No support ticket is involved.
How far does GetHired search?
25 kilometres by default, measured as a straight-line distance from where you are. Crew members must sit inside the same radius. If nobody in your category is free right now, leave an area alert and GetHired notifies you the moment someone becomes available nearby.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, switchable at any time from inside the app — including the whole booking flow, not just the menus.
